Service Projects to Support
Compassion4Kids

The following suggestions are several  ways your service organization, office, neighborhood, school, religious or youth group can  support the outreach efforts of C4K to benefit needy children.  Get creative and let us know if you have additional ideas!

“Change 4 Kids” Baby Bottle Campaign

Compassion 4 Kids (C4K) will provide your group with clear baby bottles affixed with a C4K logo and “Change for Kids” label.  The bottles are used by participants to collect loose change (bills accepted too!).  This can be done as a contest (between classes in a school, departments in a corporation, or scout troops, etc.)  with the group collecting the most funds at the end of a given time period winning a pizza party, donut breakfast, etc.  In keeping with the theme, the funds can be specifically designated to help babies in orphanages supported by C4K.

C4K Hygiene Kit or School Supply Kit Drive

Collect or purchase the “ingredients” for either a hygiene kit or school supply kit as follows:

a)        C4K Hygiene Kit:  1 youth toothbrush, 1 full-size tube of toothpaste (or 2 sample-size), 1 bar of soap, 1 washcloth, 1 hair comb, & 10 band-aids.  Assemble into a gallon-size ziploc baggie.

b)       C4K School Supply Kit: 2 pencils, 1 eraser, 2 pens, 1 pencil sharpener, 1 pr. child-size scissors, 1 glue stick, & 1 pkg. washable markers or colored pencils. Assemble supplies into a plastic school-supply box (or gallon-size ziploc baggie).

The sponsoring group can provide supplies to assemble kits on their own, or conduct a contest between school classes, VBS teams, scout troops, neighborhoods, corporate departments, etc.

C4K Food Drive

The following items are most needed:  Canned meals (chili, ravioli, stew, etc.) ; Canned meat / fish (e.g. tuna, chicken); Canned fruits; Peanut butter;  Boxed cereal; Boxed pasta dinners; and Baby items (e.g. formula, diapers, wipes).  Contact C4K for a complete folder with instructions for conducting your food drive to benefit needy families.

C4K Helping Hands Garage Sale

Target approximately 100 donors to each contribute one or two “nice items” to be sold at the rummage sale… thus ensuring a sale stocked with high-quality items.  The sale can be conducted in a neighborhood, at a school, house of worship,  etc.  Contact C4K to receive a packet with complete instructions including flyer templates to solicit donations, advertising copy, signs, boxes, etc.

C4K Craft Kit

Collect or purchase supplies for a group of orphanage or other needy children to make a fun craft.  Please include detailed instructions along with completed samples, and package your “kit” in a rubbermaid-type tub.

Go Green 4 Kids with C4K!

This project is best implemented in a school or large business setting.  The sponsoring group sells “tickets” for a $1 donation to Compassion 4 Kids, which grants the purchaser “permission” to wear a hat or paint their hair green for St. Patrick’s Day.  This concept can easily be adapted for other occassions such as “wear jeans to work day” at a business. Of course, the school principal or the business owner/manager must be supportive of the idea!  Contact C4K for a step-by-step instruction packet.

Compassion 4 Kids, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity.  Donations are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
